The term Cosmeceutical was created in the 1990 and comes from the words” Cosmetic” and “Pharmaceutic”.

It is the preparation that possesses both cosmetic and pharmaceutical properties. Per Marie Jhin, MD, a dermatologist in California, “Cosmeceuticals will contain active ingredients that are known to be beneficial to humans in some way.” (Jackson-Cannady, 2012)

People ask if our products are FDA approved. First off, Acti-Labs Cosmeceutical products are made in France where their laws are stricter then in the US. Acti-Labs invest heavily in the research and development of our products. Our scientists continually strive for new discoveries focusing on finding cutting-edge technologies and formulations combined with the most active ingredients. The Award-Winning Laboratory Staff at Acti-Labs are responsible for every product from its conception until production. As for the FDA, they do not recognize cosmeceuticals, they recognize three categories; drugs, cosmetics and soaps.
